MONDAY TUCK-IN:
We had balmy weather in the Hamlet today. Gabby made a late appearance post rain. She’s sporting one nice crop and roosting at home tonite. Tks, Jd_AEF, for your search and find! Samson is likely at the ET and may yet fly on over to the nest tree. 😎 SED to all! 😴

jd_AEF 23:49 Now those feet can dance! SEDs Gabby!

Well, well, well! Looks like someone's scarecrow may be missing a body part. Samson came in with a huge clump of long grass and can be seen on cam 2 high up the sunset branch

Time to head out for the day. Give a warm welcome as Kathy takes over the tour 💜. Y'all enjoy your day!

jd_AEF 23:30 Good evening! As of 11:30 pm there are no returnees to the nest tree. Guess they are finding their Evening Tree comfy. Sweet dreams, Samson and Gabrielle!

jd_AEF 00:00 Good early morning! Today is National Reptile Awareness Day, “a day for reptile lovers to celebrate and one which also promotes education, conservation, and appreciation for reptiles. It is a day to learn about their natural habitats and the ecological threats that they are facing. A reptile is any amniote that is neither a mammal nor a bird, is cold-blooded, has scales or scutes and can lay eggs on land. Scutes are the thick bony or horny plates which form the dermal layer of such reptiles like turtles and crocodiles.” We celebrate Larry the lizard and all of our Hamlet reptiles on this day. :lizard:

Goodnight/ morning everyone, bonjour Bev, ...!

bonjour Philjo .. sorry i am sick today :(

jd_AEF#3811 Today at 10:18 AM
Just a little summary of chat action this morning: Samson and Gabby were both in the nest as chat began. Gabby flew off at 8:01 am and could be seen flying all around as Samson watched from Sunset branch. Gabrielle brought another stick at 8:20 am and Samson flew off, returning with another stick at 8:25 am. They did some more arranging and exchanged beakies. Sam placed a stick on top of Gabby 🙂 and he headed up to Sunset Branch to get out of the way while she arranged things. Sam flew off again at 8:34 am and brought a nice stick for the rails at 8:36 am. They both hopped to Wallenda and seemed to be watching another bird in the area. Gabby flew off at 8:41 am and returned at 8:52 am with another stick for the nest. Gabby flew off again at 9:01 am as Samson watched from Sunset Branch, where he remains at this time. Nice work this morning and I know the chatters loved it!

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Another balmy day in the Hamlet (beats the 8.5" snow in MN, tho!). Samson arrived in the LY before 6:30pm, and Gabrielle arrived about 7pm with sweet vocals exchanged. They are protected in one of their favorite pines and likely roosting there for the night. SED to our Hamlets and to all! ☺️
