It is believed that the bald eagles remain in the area during the summer months and do not migrate as there is plentiful food available from lakes, the Berry quarry and the nearby Oostanaula River. They have occasionally been sighted at or near the nest during the summer, probably to ensure that other animals know it is occupied.

May 15, 20:48 BEL-a-Donna: No blue jays harass them; Dad to LB 8:41:20 & out 8:41:33; Missy to RB 8:41:50 & out 8:41:58pm.
May 15, 00:44 BEL-a-Donna: Saw a FB post from Sherry R, she posted a pic of Missy on the LB from earlier today and said that Dad was on a lower branch (when the bluejays were pestering them). We could hear Dad but couldn't see him on any of the cams. Was nice to get confirmation that he was close (as I kept hearing him).

I actually rolled the DVR back and had s'caps too but won't post duplicates
I think that was Missy who flew in over the LYB at 6:22am

She was digging and it appeared to me that she dug something up and started eating it. I wonder if it was the non-viable egg.
