07h03 Patience is quiet, branched and waiting for her breakfast. Still a wet nest.

Around 12h06 pm, Patience missed her branch and felt down below the nest . All seems to be good... but the nest is empty.

..... We first heard small birds scolding. Then, Patience called out a few times. She was up in dense leaves, so we did not see her but definitely heard her calling. Freedom was perched in the Sentinel Tree and he remained there. We left as soon as we were certain Patience was in no jeopardy......

She fell from the far left branch when she attempted to branch. She either missed or slipped. She has been heard, but not seen. Liberty and Freedom probably know right where she is and will attempt to help guide her back up to the nest. However, it could take a few days. Hard to tell. But she didn't sound in distress.

So for now we have an accidental fledge. But the last news syid she is ok :luck:

BirdFeeder 7 hours ago "so around 18h nest time 06-01-2021"

from Karen's latest FB post:
Photos taken yesterday show Patience off the ground and in good health.
Yes. She is probably still being bonked by the blue jays or other nesting birds in the woods. While unpleasant for her to experience, it is the beginning of life out of the nest for her. She will face many trials far worse than that as she matures.
Crows pulled Mary's tailfeathers. She survived. Other eagles will try to steal her food. She will learn to fight back or hide to eat what she catches.
No one can remove the obstacles from her path and we should not try. We would deprive her from becoming the best that she can be.
When Patience came out of the egg, she was no bobblehead. It usually takes chicks days to raise their heads without the wobble. Patience had amazing coordination when the shell opened to reveal her. She focused on the adults immediately. She watched and imitated mom and dad quickly. I am predjudiced, but I believe she is a superior specimen of eaglehood.
Returning to the woods to check on her again and again can be detrimental to her well being. It drives away the protecting adults, draws attention to her position by other birds or animals that will harass or possibly have worse intention torward her.
It is also unfair to those who live there and deserve privacy.Liberty, with assistance from her partners, has fledged 20 chicks (maybe more. Fuzzy brain today) over the years. She is smart and dedicated to the success of this chick.

00h57 wind at the empty nest. Patience is not back yet but she is ok. I saw one pic of her branched in a tree. Liberty and Freedom brought some food to her first to the nest but as patience didn't come in they seemd to bring it to her wher she is. :luck:
She will be back at her and only at her time. :mihihi:

Hey Hanover Fans! We tried to look around below the nest area simply out of curiosity to see if H313 is in camera view. We hope you all enjoyed the ride. One thing we want to reiterate is that the young eagle is safe and not in any harm, there's no need for concern. We've seen this happen in previous seasons with fledge-age eagles and this young eagle is especially strong and able. They have been sighted from the ground, they're not injured. We've can't confirm this information but we've heard reports of them seen flying with adults. There's no need for human intervention, in fact human disturbance is much more detrimental to the eagle's safety. You may hear the screeches from them, they are certainly in the area and the parents are nearby. It's normal for the young eagles to stick around the nest area before flying out of the area. This is the nature of watching Eagle nest live streams, eventually these Eagles leave the nest making for a successful season for the two resident eagles!

Hey everyone, we compiled a clip from recordings yesterday thanks to Rambler and other viewer's suggestions. Rest assured, our favorite young eagle is doing well, they're just perfecting flight! It's not a graceful process, takes some time to get used to, but they are not injured and they are safe. We had some fun slowing this down to see the action frame by frame. Another good sign is the POV footage which shows either mom or dad is flying close by, keeping watch. Enjoy!
