I really tried to get her to take it off the nest. I failed miserably.

Seeing that scap of Harriet tangling with that other eagle really freaked me out. Here in CO (Standley Lake) we had a mother chased from her nest & her clutch fail as a result of an invading female. I know Harriet is strong, but this has been a rough year for this family & I just want them all safe. Thank you for continuing to share the daily events.

Follow up: After looking at some of the close ups of Harriet's feet & talons, it looks like she may have suffered a little bit of damage in that altercation. Nothing too serious, but there appear to be a couple tears.
