At this exact time, a week, 7 days ago that you left us little angel and I have not yet apologized for not having understood or not having wanted to see the too sad reality.
Obviously I waited until 5:06 am or more than 3:36 after the flight of your mind to finally accept that you were no longer in the nest close to your Mom Harriet and that unlike Egbert that you kept warm under you until the end, your shell was already empty. Sorry E14.
Sorry also, Bonnie and Lanie, because when you posted your messages very early this awful morning E14 was already gone.
Just a moment to light a small candle that will remain lit in your memory until the end of time.2020-01-22_07h28_08.jpg

Death is nothing
I just walked into the next room.
I am me, you are you.
What we were for each other, we still are.
Give me the name you always gave me.
Talk to me like you always have.
Don't use your different tone, don't look solemn or sad.
Keep laughing at what made us laugh together.
Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name always be spoken at home as it always has been.
Without emphasis of any kind, without trace of shade.
Life means what it has always meant.
She is what she always been.
The string is not cut.
Why would i be out of your mind
Just because I'm out of your sight?
I am waiting for you.
I'm not far, just across the road.
You see, all is well.
Canon Henri Scott Holland (1847-1918)

I know, i already said that once, but now, i promise, this is the las time, here, i go back to the E14's past.

Still coping, beautiful.[/quote]

I see where many people refer to E14 as "she"...was there a DNA test done that determined E14 was female? I miss that precious little feisty eaglet. I have way too much time on my hands now where for the past four seasons I spent hours viewing the nest and the antics of the little ones and the work and parenting efforts of Harriet and M15. Of course I still tune in a couple-three times a day to check on Harriet and M15 and their lives are such a joy to watch.
Hi Kathy,
I'm not aware that a DNA test has been done, or will be done?
Personally, I felt she was a female due to her character, bonking Harriet in the night, then bonking M and twisting his feathers. Her feisty attitude just made me think she was a mini Harriet. Just my opinion, which could be wrong, but just my thoughts none the less. :huggie:

Kathy there was no DNA test done and we don't know for sure that E14 was a girl. Perhaps they will do that during the further testing at the lab in Georgia where E14 was sent. Some of us just hate to call this baby "it" and have chosen to call E14 "her". By her attitude and feistiness we just are guessing that E14 was a girl. :) MaryF

.I have a new video for y'all from LadyHawk! :vid:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVKrwA6n5qg

SWF stick wars 1-22-20.jpg

From Lady Hawk

Harriet and M have been working hard on the nest today and spending more time in the nest tree and bonding more than they usually do. The changes to their normal routine have been impacted early in the season with losing E14 and not having the responsibilities of raising and providing for their chick. It makes sense for H & M to pick up nestorations once again and keep busy.

They brought in 9 sticks today and had some funny stick discussions along the way! Harriet is seen flying off to the west pasture at 7:56 and returns with a stick and M will fly off towards the dead fig tree trying to grab a stick at 12:50, misses it but heads toward the pond and returns with a huge branch. He trips over it trying to place it lol They work as a team and solidify their bond keeping their relationship strong. Thank you for watching.

Our beautiful pair looking at us watching them! :D (from the video)

From Lady Hawk

Harriet and M both fly to the nest tree early in the morning. They drop down to the nest to check things out - then fly back to the attic and share a moment of bonding. Afterwards M stays up on her back ♥♥ Harriet does not even seem to mind! Cam 1 and Cam 2 views.

A few minutes later, M departs first and Harriet follows him as they fly off across the road. We have some zooming on E14's memorial beginning at 6:50. What a beautiful outpouring of love for our baby from our viewers. We miss you E14 so much! 💕💕 Thank you for watching.
