2021 Nesting Season

Hi.
Marty Wininger and Keisha Howell separately, have made several trips to Dale Hollow in order to locate the new nest. They located it and got some really good photos. I am posting a few of Marty's, with his permission.
There were two young eagles spotted on the nest and they appear to be doing fine. They are quite large already.
So below are the photos. Thank you Marty and Keisha for braving the weather over winter to get this information.

There is the expectation that since the new nest is so close to the old nest that there will be a cam in place for next year, Fingers crossed. Everyone misses the eagles and the views from this nest.

Thought y'all might be interested in this. I am sure it is either DH10 or DH11. I watched this juvie catch a fish just across from the old nest tree and take it to this tree to eat it on September 27, 2020:

Obey and River are doing well and have 2 eaglets in their new nest which is just a few feet from the old tree. I hope to have more photos soon...

2021 Summary

Because there was not a camera on the nest in 2021, most of this information is from the Dale Hollow Eagle Cam Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/DaleHollowEagleCam.

Two fluffy eaglets were seen in the pair's new nest on March 21. There aren't many details, but DH12 and DH13 were seen flying with their parents - so I'm going to call it a good year.

There are plans to install a camera - so we're hoping we'll be able to watch this nest again in 2022.

Because there aren't many posts, we are going to continue this thread for another year.
