6-12-21 Saturday

6:30PM (times are approximate) Papa has returned to the nest as Kindness watches.

6:31PM Mama, right, flies in after Papa, bringing a piece of fish (salmon filet).

6:33PM Papa is leaving.

6:35PM. Mama feeds Kindness.

6:44PM. Papa (rear) returns with nesting material. Mama is still feeding.

6:47PM. Here Mama (front) is leaving, and she will be followed out by Papa.

6:50PM. Papa returns, and we get a look at the crop on Kindness.

6:55PM. Papa drags the filet over and feeds Kindness.

7:00PM. Papa broods a stuffed Kindness.

7:45PM. Papa is up and feeding Kindess.

8:40PM. Papa feeds another round of salmon filet to Kindness.

6-12-11 Saturday

8:45PM. Mama returns, Papa, left, will leave, and Mama will brood Kindness.

10:30PM. Kindness is resting while Mama broods.

11:00PM. Goodnight Mama and Kindness. Papa roosts out of cam view.

2:40AM. All looked quiet (and dark) for the overnight. There is leftover salmon filet on the nest (brought in by Mama last night) for a morning feeding.

0320. Starting to turn light and Mama is tucked and resting, brooding Kindess.

0400. Mama has started a feeding for Kindess. This is the salmon Mama delivered last night.

0408. The feeding is over and Mama prepares to brood. We can see Kindness has a nice crop. Good morning Kindness! You are 24 days old today.

0432. Kindness resting as Mama broods.

(From 0501) We have a video from Lady Deeagle55: the first hummingbird visit of the season! Thank you Dee! The hummingbirds nest here, and we should see many visits. It will be adorable to watch Kindness react to their visits as the hummingbirds check out the eaglet. Stay tuned for that! I did not capture scaps on this, so none are included.

0515. Mama has started another feeding for Kindness using the salmon from last night.

0525. Mama is back to brooding, and Kindness can barely be seen on her right side.

0620. Papa, left, flew in with moss for the nest.

0622. Mama just left for her morning break, and Kindness is watching her fly off.

0712. Papa is up and getting ready to leave. Kindness appears to be checking out Papa’s tail feathers.

0713. Mama arrives with nesting material.

0722. Mama is brooding, Kindness is resting, seen on her left.

Additional ID marker for Mama and Papa:
Mama returned this season missing some tail feathers on the right side. There is no way to know what happened; however, she is clearly fine, bringing in prey and behaving as normal Mama. The feathers will take time to grow in. The arrow shows the difference in her tail compared to Papa.
