Good evening everyone. Sadly it's time to say goodbye to our beloved Glacier Gardens eagle family for this season And what a fun, adventurous and heart warming season it has been We have all laughed, cried, and been amazed at the things these beloved eagles have done and we look forward to watching Liberty & Freedom raise another family next spring I wish them all a happy and healthy winter exploring the area and enjoying a banquet of spawned out salmon in the rivers of Alaska.

I want to thank all of you for your time and dedication to documenting the lives of Mama, Papa and Kindness during this nesting season. You have contributed so many wonderful screencaptures, videos and memories over the past few months. I know I will be visiting this thread again and again during the winter months and look forward to the day we see one of our beloved eagles back in their territory

Many thanks to Glacier Gardens for allowing us the privilege of watching the eagles through their live streaming cam and for adding the time/date stamp to the feed and for leaving the cam on during the off season. It will be interesting to see what birds and/or animals visit the nest

I would appreciate a PM when one of the eagles returns to the nest and will open a new thread for the 2022 nesting season!
I wish all of you a happy & healthy next few months and look forward to another exciting season next spring

October 9th - Good morning everyone

Due to the fact that the Glacier Gardens has kindly agreed to leave the cam running during the off season, I have unlocked this thread for those who continue to watch the nest. I have edited the above post to include the links to two videos recorded by LadyDeeagle of the eagles visiting the nest last month.

I will leave this thread open until the eagles have returned to start nestorations on the nest. Please feel free to post observations and s'caps if you see the eagles at the nest.

I turned on the cam yesterday and saw an eagle landing in the nest with prey. I am not sure which eagle it was but the prey was a bird being defeathered. The eagle was on the nest for 40 minutes eating while the Magpies tried to steal a few bites of the prey. Although there wasn't much lighting coming through the cam and the trees were swaying out of view, I recorded the entire 40 minutes. However, I am in the process of editing my video to delete some of the frames before I upload it to YouTube. I have taken some screencaptures and lightened them.

9/13/21 - Mama stopped by the nest tree and then left at 3:41pm.

2:49pm - Mama landed on the CBCT...

Mama looked around the nest for any nest overs...

3:41pm - After visiting her nest area...Mama flew from the nest and headed over towards the cam tree area.

Good morning everyone You are very welcome Journi and Kitcat! I'm thankful to Glacier Gardens for leaving the cam running and thrilled that we are seeing eagles visit the nest. Thanks for your s'caps Journi and ondabebe

I turned the cam on yesterday afternoon just before 3pm nest time and was thrilled to see an eagle landing in the nest with prey. There was a great flurry of feathers flying around before the eagle actually started eating. I'm not sure if this eagle is Mama; if it is her tail feathers have grown back It looks like the same eagle that brought prey to the nest the previous day. I recorded a video of the entire visit and taken some s'caps.

Final 3. As with the eagle on the nest on Oct. 8th, this one kept stopping and looking around, as if it was expecting to be chased off.

GLACIER GARDENS RAINFOREST ADVENTURE - Nest Visitor comes in for lunch. 10/30/21

This recent visitor to the nest, returned today for lunch. They were at the nest for a little less than 10 minutes. During that time they scarf down a quick fish and pick remnants off of the bones from another recent stop.

We also threw in a rough narration on this one, let us know in the comments if you prefer these clips with or without narration."

Glacier Gardens has reported that early in October they had some high winds in the area and since then:
"The camera is still in partial awake mode"...(meaning that the cam viewing will be dark).
Hopefully the cam will be working properly, soon!

We look forward to when the new nesting season begins early next year!
