Thanks Sassy, I remember now you did ask last year. I just hate not having a reference time if I report something happening on the nest. I use the dvr feature a lot so my actual viewing time is different from the dvr time. Oh well.......

Journi, where do you find the date and time stamp for this nest? I notice your s’caps don’t show one yet you have a time listed. I’m not seeing one when viewing on my ipad or iphone.

Hi Marianne! Sorry I'm just now getting back to you about your time-stamp question!

Since there is no time-stamp on the live cam itself, I have to refer to the time that we see on YouTube's live cam red line (Not sure what that is officially called).
Then it depends on your time zone and how many hours difference it is from the nest time.
The tricky part is figuring out the nest time when you go back in time using the time (red) slider on You Tube and then subtracting
your time in your time zone from that! (I hope this makes sense...I'm working on my first cup of coffee!)
I found this website that shows Juneau's time and has some other interesting info on it:

I agree with you and SassyK in the hope that GG will reconsider adding a (small) time stamp to their live cam feed like we see on
other live cams. It would help not only those of us who document/report on the nest/eagle activities, but it would also provide
GG gift shop visitors a clock that would help them to see what time it is while they are watching the live cam.

4:13am - Mama, Ch'aak' & Anaaski are sleeping well...

(I tried to capture s'caps of this...but since the cam is too far back from the nest and the low lighting, the video allows for better viewing).

6:45am Papa brings a small fish to the nest and Ch'aak' eats most of it.

(I see that there is still one plastic bag on the nest.)

7:10am Mama delivers a nice size fish. Anaaski gets most of this fish after figuring out that
going around to the other side of Mama was the best way to get away from Ch'aak' and closer to the fish!

Anaaski reaches in to the fish first (red dot) but then Ch'aak' warns him/her to back off from the fish.

So...this is when Anaaski figured out that going around Mama would get him/her closer to the fish...and this allowed Anaaski to get
most of this fish (even reaching in to grab some of it's own fish bites! - red dot.)

3:25am - Mama just woke up and is watchful while her eaglets sleep next to her.

7:04am - Anaaski & Ch'aak' are wide awake and Anaaski (L) seems to be eating some kind of nest-overs while
Ch'aak' is preening at those ever growing feathers! (red dot = nest overs)
(Anaaski is sitting on a plastic bag.)

10:57am Papa delivers a fish to the nest and Ch'aak' & Anaaski get fed the fish!

Ch'aak' & Anaaski have full crops after that feeding!

Papa left the nest and now we can see their full crops better!

2:45pm - Ch'aak' and Anaaski have had a quiet day. No other food has been delivered since this morning by Papa.

4:00pm - Looks like Ch'aak' is smiling and Anaaski is busy preening those ever growing feathers!
It's been a quiet day at the nest with one fish feeding today...so far.
