Yes Phil, we are hoping for a successful nesting season!
I found 2 young eagles on Liberty's Island yesterday while walking my pups along the river trail!
These are the first young eagles I've seen in the Turtle Bay area this year!
One looks to be a 1st year eagle & the other looks like a 3rd year eagle with more white on it's head & body...

I found the 3.5-4 year old eagle near the Sundial Bridge on Monday & found the 1st year one on Liberty's Island again!
I'm so glad they are sticking around the Turtle Bay area!
The immature eagle caught a fish & was eating it on the rocks along the river! I got some pics of it catching the fish & a video of it eating the fish!

The eagle was fairly far away from where I was standing, but it sure gave me a great view of it coming right toward me when it was catching it's fish!
I was standing on the Sundial Bridge which spans the Sacramento River, which worked out great!

Thanks Phil!
I'm so sorry to hear about Juliet I hope for a good outcome
I have seen the juvenile eagle the last 2 days on or near Liberty's Island! It sure seems to like that spot!
Here are a few videos, one from yesterday & one today where the juvie was eating a fish on a branch! Or at least attempting to eat a fish! Those fishies are slippery!

Re: Redding, CA - 2018-2019 - Bald Eagle Cam
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
We have still been seeing the young eagles in the Turtle Bay area! I found one of them, the 3rd year eagle, feasting on a dead salmon yesterday! it was the same bird that snagged the trout from the river in the same area last week! They are all sure eating good, which makes me so happy!
My friend Ospreyman Jim found 3 sub adult eagles a little south of where I've been seeing the other young eagles along the river
He got a great video so you can see them for yourselves! They look like they may have found a dead salmon to eat too!
