:huggie: Hi Rita!!!!

Welcome back! It has been a while hasn't it?!? So good to see you back here again!!! Thank you so much for your kind words about my photos! I feel that I win all kinds of awards daily just by being in the presence of these beauties & being able to share them will all of you!

Yes Liberty has a new mate & he seems larger than her previous mates & he is very handsome! He has the most gorgeous eyes!!!

Yes we've already started the ball rolling for getting our Eaglecam up & running again for next season!!! :thumlft:

Of course I'm heartbroken that we can't get it running right now!!! I so wish all of you could watch this beautiful pair as they navigate their first Nesting Season together!

Here is Guardian and those eyes!

Guardian had been in the nest before he landed on Pond Perch, so he didn't stay long!

He took off & took to the skies & kept soaring & soaring until I lost sight of him up there!

Here are some of those lovely lift off shots that you enjoy Rita!

Liberty has been heading over to the Christmas Tree during her break from incubation duties! She was up there for 2 hours before she lifted off & headed over to the nest!

Hi Terri! Oh I truly do understand you being rewarded by seeing those two beautiful eagles! I feel the same way every Sunday when we do our volunteer shift. Your photos are truly spectacular! Must admit that I truly do like the fly off or flying photo's. Perhaps it's just the way that you catch them to get that perfect photo. You one you posted at 2:05 pm of Guardian with his wings up....Wow! Just beautiful! Those perfect wing up and ready to fly. Then again two more perfect views at 2:15. Really enjoy seeing your photo's. Great to hear that the cam will up next year! Still only one egg? Liberty looks right at home up there incubating. Thank you so much for posting Terri.

Hi Everyone! :huggie:

I am happy to report that everything seems to be going very well with our beloved Redding Eagles! Liberty & Guardian seem to make a good team and are both taking their regular shifts on incubation duty! I was able to watch 2 switches yesterday! It's still pretty hit or miss on catching any action, but some days I just get lucky!

We don't know how many eggs they have since we don't have the Eaglecam going this year, but Miss Liberty usually lays 2-3 eggs each year so we will see!

It is definitely hard having to wait until we can see those fuzzy gray heads peeking above the rim of the nest to know how many eaglets we have, but in some way I think it kind of builds the suspense a bit more!

Here is the first switch where Guardian came in to relieve Liberty & she flew out to Pond Perch for her break...

I was thrilled to that she lifted off and headed in my direction this time so I was able to capture Liberty's graceful lift off!

Hi everyone!

Liberty & Guardian are on Day 21 of their incubation period! We are getting close now folks!!!

We are expecting our 1st hatch around March 17th St. Patrick's Day! We will be watching closely to see if food is brought into the nest & it appears they are bent over feeding little ones! :hatch:

Liberty & Guardian are taking regular shifts on their egg(s) and despite some very windy conditions here the last few days, the nest seems to be holding up okay! We could really use a Drama-Free Season this year!!!

I have seen Guardian bring in a small fish for his lovely mate Miss Liberty several times in the last week!

Here are a few videos where you can see Guardian bringing in the fish to the nest & then one where you can watch Miss Liberty gulping down the fish, tail & all!!! Gulp!
