My Internet was down a lot today !

jd_AEF (Moderator): Deer have wandered off and Samson arrived at the nest 8:08 pm
Jun 2, 9:10 PM
jd_AEF (Moderator): Gretchen is tracking the deer...we will track Samson lol
Jun 2, 9:23 PM
jd_AEF (Moderator): 8:20 pm Samson flew and Gretchen reports he is at Lumberyard. Stay tuned for tuck report

Jun 2, 9:25 PM
jd_AEF (Moderator): oops...8:25 Samson is back after being chased by a hawk, and then flies off again.
Jun 2, 9:28 PM
jd_AEF (Moderator): Gretchen has him spotted...stay tuned.

Jun 2, 9:33 PM
jd_AEF (Moderator): We will pull together photos and videos from tonight and post. SEDs!

Samson is a great defender of his nest!

Jun 2, 11:37 PM
gretchen_AEF (Admin): SUNDAY TUCK:
Whew, it was a wild nite in the Hamlet! First this afternoon Samson was spotted off-site where he often perches about a mile + from the nest. Then tonight 5 deer were romping near the nest on the lawn running wild (pic above of two laying down). Then Samson arrived with a persistent hawk dive-bombing him and following him back and forth from the nest to the LY twice. Samson was quite annoyed and vocal. Things settled down and Samson was tucked at 8:45pm at the top of a LYT. SED Samson and all!

It is late where I live..... I will see the rest tomorrow
Goodnight Philjo , Heather and all !

Jun 9, 7:44 PM jd_AEF (Moderator): 1:45 pm We may have a small break in the rain in the Hamlet but the pattern of afternoon and evening storms continues for another day or so.

Jun 9, 9:02 PM jd_AEF (Moderator): Cams are currently down after the heavy rain...will likely need onsite attention. Thanks for your patience in this difficult weather pattern. Be safe everyone!

Jun 9, 10:32 PM jd_AEF (Moderator): Gretchen reports that a serious storm likely took down power to our cams as power is out in the area. We will update as we can.
