Hello again! I was attending a business meeting when I saw the post come through that the cameras were live. I exclaimed, out loud, "The Cameras are live"!!! As you can imagine, no one knew what the heck I was talking about! My excitement for this new season cannot be contained. Thank you, in advance, to all the Moderators, Wskrsnwings, Administrators and just overall 'baby sitters' for all of us who look forward to this amazing experience.

So very excited for season 7! Seems like only a short time ago I started watching, when it's been several seasons...LOL. Thanks to MaryF for the new thread, and all her hard work putting the into together. Thanks to Journi for all you do each season. Thanks to Vicki and her keeping us up to date with what the cams can't see yet. Welcome in all our newbies!! Thank you Pritchett's for continuing to have us, thanks to cam ops/mods for all your hard work each and every season!! Let's do this!!

I share in your excitement for the start of Season 7! I have been telling family, friends and even everyday acquaintances, such as grocery store clerks, that the SWFL eagle cam will be live on Oct.1st!

Many thanks to the Pritchett’s for giving us this opportunity. Wskrsnwngs videos have amped up my excitement for this moment and she is amazing! And the mods and admins that keep this site running for us to enjoy are so appreciated. And last but not least, Journi, let me say you do an awesome job!

Team H & M Fly Their Area, Return With Sticks/Grasses, Mating 10-02-18

Harriet & M15 spent the early part of the morning together flying around their territory, adding sticks and grasses with each return to the pastures and mated on the attic branch. These are all behaviors that mated pairs exhibit that strengthens their bond to each other. Also eagles mate ten months out of the year, but the period for egg fertilization is short (normally 2 weeks or so). It takes 8-10 ten days after successful fertilization for an egg to be laid. Harriet's usual egg laying time is mid-late November. As November draws closer, H & M will spend more time preparing the nest and mating will happen more often.

5:57pm - Harriet looks intently over towards the church side pasture area...

She flies off from the nest tree and glides down and over close to the highway...

Harriet then makes a sharp turn back towards the church side of the pasture area

6:38pm - M15 and Harriet together tonight in their nest tree!
