I recently started watching this cam, especially early in the morning. Oh my but those mice are keeping Mom from getting a good nights sleep. Just a short video from earlier this morning. Copyright@Fraser Eagle Cam

MJN, I didn't see the feeding. But don't forget that they don't need to eat for a day or so after hatching. If the chick is healthy I am sure it will get enough food.
Best not to worry. :huggie:

Thanks for your reply. I am just being realistic knowing that only 1/2 of chicks survive their 1st year. Happy viewing. :bye 1:

Hi everyone, , I saw a very nice feeding last night. Everyone got food and no bonking at all. #3 is doing well so far. Loud and had a nice full crop. If I can catch a feeding during the day I will try to get some scaps. :mihihi:

Hello everyone, by the size of that fish they should get plenty to eat today. A short video from this morning.

Thanks elaine, for the video. So nice to see the feedings. I caught another two today but am on tablet and cannot get good scaps. But great to see the little one up front and getting bites. :thumlft:  I will glad when they are all a little older and bigger. Hang in there, MJN, the first week or so is sometimes tough to watch. You just want to feed them yourself.

You're welcome Jwin. MJN, we'll be hanging in there with you. They've raised three little ones before and they sure have been finding some good size fish. :grhug:

Main disadvantage for #3 was several days lag to hatch after #2 (unusual they say), so late start to catch up on size and ability to compete. Should turn out OK as long as #3 gets enough food to survive. :D

Hi MJN, This was such a nice feeding for the little one that I thought I'd record it. It was only part of the feeding also. That little one seems to know how to reach the food.

Thank you. I have been watching all the daytime feedings by skimming past inactive times.
Rooting for the little one! :rh:

Hi Jwin , MJN and everyone else. Yep MJN, I'm sure we are all rooting for the little one. It seems be be learning to get itself up front for some food. It's so endearing to watch. :rh: Here is a feeding from earlier.
