Hi jwin and Debs. Thanks for the cute scaps today of the feeding I saw on the chat that Dad was feeding thebaby so I jumped onto the camera and got some scaps of the action. I rolled itback to see when Dad came in too.

Dad in with a big fish and Mom is really squawking at him for some reason; she doesn’t look pleased :dunno: :chin:

Hi,
A bright sunny morning and a very cute eaglet.

Checking out the morning.
Quiet at the nest. The cam lens is obviously very dirty. You can really tell in the morning when the sun shines on it.
Doesn't stop the cuteness tho!

Hi everyone
The little one is growing up. Already looks bigger.
I feel glad and sad for single chicks. Glad they don't get bonked and they get lots of food and attention but sad that they are alone a lot as they get older. Either way this little one is fine and adorable! :rh: :rh:

Things look fine on the nest today. Beautiful green grasses and sunny weather. Looks like a crop drop for our #1 eaglet. Beautiful Mom standing watch.

Good morning all.
So quiet and peaceful here this morning. Looks like the nest is overflowing with food. #1 being fed duck, I think. That is what it looked like when being dragged over for the feeding. but I do not know what is in the lower left of the nest.

Good Evening jwin and Debs. Checking the nest and Mom is feeding her little one. Getting lots of bits of something furry with red meat. Leftover duck maybe?

Jwin, thank you so much for your s’caps and obs.here. This nest so so nice to watch this year, unlike last year. I wish I had more time to observe and take pictures. I wish Rainna were here to watch and document like she did last year; she would love this.

The eaglet is upside down in the nest bole and cannot turn itself over. Hoping it will right itself soon.

Eaglet got upright and seems OK. If anyone saw this please post.
If I find out more information I will post.
Update: there is a video by Lady Hawk on YT if you want to see how the parent helped the eaglet get up. It is so interesting to watch how the parent helped. I am not sure which parent helped but it seemed to me that it was Dad. If anyone else knows better please correct me. I am just incredibly happy that this little one is safe and sound.

Hi jwin, I went back and looked at Lady Hawk’s video and it appeared our fat little, bottom heavy eaglet was trying to preen it’s backside and toppled over like those old timey punching boppers only h/s didn’t pop back up. It was very interesting to watch the parent (thinking Dad also) help. I also noticed pin feathers starting to come out but since I don’t have LH’s permission to post from her video, I can’t post a pic here.

 Hi.
Thank you, Kitcat, I had no idea that an eaglet could fall and not get up. It was surreal. I really think that Dad knew what was going on and deliberately helped right the little one.
Yesterday I saw the eaglet very close to the edge and when I checked in later the cam was on highlights. Of course I panicked :donpan: and thought the worst. But all is well this morning. :mihihi:
So glad I am not the only one watching.
