I checked the Channel Island chat page but couldn’t find out when Sauces egg is due so I asked one of the posters. She says on pip watch between Tomorrow, April 3 and April 6. No one is sure depending on when the last egg broke; . this egg hatches

Sadly the egg that Jak and Audacity have been incubating so faithfully has not pipped and hatched. It was never clear whether this was #7 or #8 , but either way, past time to hatch.

Audacity laid her first egg of the season on 2/2/24 at around 3:10 pm. Looks good today; praying that this is a successful season for her and Jak.

It has been raining most of the day and a very wet Audacity is incubating her egg. Wind gusts are powerful. She gets up to shake off the rain from her feathers and right back to incubating. Egg still looks good; egg #2 possibly tomorrow

Cam has gone to highlights, probably because the batteries need the sun to recharge.

Sauces is still on highlights due to the terrible weather in California. All is ok with Audacity, Jak, and their egg. Hopefully they now have a second egg.

Unfortunately for us, the Sauces Cam is still on highlights so we have no idea what has been happening at the nest. Hopefully it will come online soon.

Found theseculdates on the Channel Island Chat:
The system at Diablo on Santa Cruz is offline, causing those cameras not to work. Dr. Sharpe is scheduled to go to Santa Cruz on February 24th. Hopefully he can get to where he needs to go on the island to get those cameras (Sauces and Fraser Pt) back up and running.

Yay, the Sauces cam is up a out 4:16 pm and is streaming. Thank you Dr. Sharpe and IWS
Audacity on the nest; looks like just one beautiful egg when she gets up to roll. of course we have no idea if she laid others while the camera was down but this one is certainly welcome.
