I'm a little late with these. This was after the rain storm on Weds. night, 6/13/18. A branch of leaves fell into the nest. I don't know what they were thinking but first it looked like they were either going to eat it or move it. They managed to move it to the other side of the nest, tear it all apart, then decided it would make a nice bed:

I'm not sure what happened but it looks like the rails and the side of the nest fell, most likely from all the rain we've had. Whatever the case, the kids find a way to make do...they are perching on the side now:

I don't think any of us needs any more rain and flooding around here :( - looking forward to some sun this week. I tuned in to see only one HR today. A leaf was hiding the other one, HR6, who was pretty high up on a branch. Apparently HR7 was exhausted just watching.

Thursday 7/5/18

Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania
10 hrs ·
The Bald Eagle Cam in Harmar, operated by Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, has been turned off for the season. This week’s heavy rains and flooding, which hit the Harmar area especially hard, knocked out power to the cam. The power needs to be manually reset and the conditions at the site are not safe enough to perform the reset. We are excited that two eaglets successfully fledged the nest and have been seen soaring over the skies in Harmar. We’ll continue to post updates on the eagles in Harmar and Hays on our Facebook page: facebook.com/pittsburgheagles

We look forward to what the 2019 nesting season will bring! Thank you to our eagle watchers and to our sponsors: Comcast Business, CSE, Arborel Tree Service, and JASE.
