Thanks for your great reporting here, Bev - and thanks to Gina G Gilmore for sharing her magnificent photos!
I've read on Facebook that the pair laid their first egg on February 22nd. Without a cam, it's hard to tell if there's a second one, but this pair does usually lay two - so we'll just have to wait and see!

Just checked Facebook, and there are two chicks. Feeding was observed at 10:15 am on March 30th, which would be 36 days from when we think the first egg was laid. It was at least a week or maybe two later before both chicks were seen.

Summary of 2022 Nesting Season
Summary of 2022 Nesting Season
Because there is not currently a camera on this nest, this summary is primarily based on information found on the Facebook pages Harmar Eagle Cam, Harmar Bald Eagles of Pittsburgh and Nature Photography by Gina G Gilmore, with big thanks to the local observers who make it possible for us to continue to follow these eagles.
Behavior at the nest suggested that the first egg was laid on February 22, and feeding behavior was seen at 10:15 am on March 30, 36 days later. Eventually two chicks were seen, and HR 14 and HR15 both fledged successfully in mid-June and were seen in the area for several more weeks, and at least one was still around at the end of July. There are some great pictures on Facebook of them flying together.
