Finally looking at a pattern change across the west coast that should start pushing storms further south and into our area with the first weak system arriving today, possibly continuing off & on into next week. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies this morning with a few light showers as a weak low moves through the area. Snow level generally above 7,000 feet with under a tenth of an inch of rain and/or a dusting of snow possible. Cooler and breezy with highs in the 40's, west to northwest winds 5-15mph at times. Decreasing clouds and winds later this afternoon and evening as lows tonight drop into the 20's. We'll stay dry for tomorrow under partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 40's, southwest winds increasing 10-20mph during the afternoon. As this next storm approaches clouds will increase tomorrow night with rain and snow showers likely on Thursday. The snow level will start out near 8,000 feet, lowering to around 6,000 feet by Thursday afternoon or evening as a cold front sweeps through the area. Rainfall amounts of around a quarter to half-inch can be expected with a dusting to an inch or two of snow possible Thursday night. Showers should come to an end Friday morning as the storm exits leaving us with cold and breezy conditions through the weekend. Another storm is possible sometime early next week, but exact details are unknown at this time.
