Hi roof dek - What a wonderful photo! Thanks for posting it!
I hope you don't mind, your photo wasn't showing up so I "unzipped" it and re-uploaded it! It also needed to be resized as the forum software rejects photos that are too large!
There is lots of information in our Helpful Hints thread.
You will find specific information on attaching a scap/photo HERE and to resize a photo for posting on the forum HERE
Generally speaking I find limiting my Hi Re photos to 2000 pxls in width keeps the size of the file under 1 MGb and fills the screen when clicked.

Hello Everyone,
It's been a while since I have posted on any of the forums. I couldn't resist, when I heard these Eagles have returned to their old tree, catching up. We've been by this nest a few times this past couple of weeks, and were pretty sure that Ma was feeding some little ones. On Monday our suspicions were confirmed when a little one peered out of the nest. He or she sat up nice and straight to see what was going on outside his nest. I thought I could see another little one moving within the nest, but I couldn't be sure at this point.

Re: Hastings Street/PNE Nest, Vancouver - 2018 & 2019
Hello Again,
We returned to the nest this evening and after a few minutes, Baby 1 appeared. We moved to another part of the parking lot, to get a different view of the nest, when Baby 2 finally appeared! In the first photo, he is just to his siblings right. His fluffy little head had just popped up slightly! In the second photo he is hiding behind the branches and leaves on the left. So excited to be able to follow this nest again. I wish this pair all the luck in the world for a successful fledge this season.
Cheers!

Welcome back Heather! Thank you for the great pics of the little ones! We are all keeping our fingers crossed for a successful fledge this year without the unwanted excitement of a falling nest. Hope to see more of you.

Hello Everyone!
Glad to be back Gemini. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a successful drama free fledge for this family this season.
We visited the nest last night, and I no sooner got set up, when Roof dek came over to us, and invited us up his place where we get an awesome view of the nest! We got an awesome view of the nest, and the 2 youngsters and Ma watching over them. My how big they are. One of the little ones is already flapping his/her wings! Nothing is going to stop this youngster from going when the time comes.
Thank you Roof dek for inviting us to your home, and sharing the wonderful view of this eagle family with us.
Cheers!

Hi Everyone,
We made a quick stop by the nest last night and Ma was sitting up and looking around. I noticed what looked like something with fur along the edge of the nest in front of Ma. Must be dinner. Both babies were peeking out of the nest at different times, then they decided to have a bit of a tiff. LOL Sibling rivalry has begun. With loss of light, we headed home.
Cheers

Hello Everyone,
Hi Stim. Thank you so much for your compiments!
We made a real quick stop by the nest last night, and holy moly, what a difference a week makes!! Baby 1 was sitting up near the edge of the nest and how big he or she is! His dark feathers are coming in nicely!
The little fluff down on the left side is baby 2 who is also getting so big!
I made a second post to add 2 more pics.

Re: Hastings Street/PNE Nest, Vancouver - 2018 & 2019
Baby 2 pops up, but seemed more interested in what was going on towards Hastings, than looking our way.
Cheers everybody.
When baby 2 tuck himself back down into the nest, baby's head just barely popped up in the same area on the left side of the nest. His/her little head with the darker feathers.
Again, I can't get over what a difference a week makes! WOW!Cheers everybody.

Hello Everybody,
It's been a little more than a week since our last visit to this nest, and what a difference! I just got my camera set up, when Pa arrived with some food! Ma immediately started to feed her not so little ones. And both babies were only to happy to eat! She no sooner started to feed when Pa arrived a second time with more food! This time I think it was some kind of fish! Please see second post!

Ma moved said fish to another part of the nest and started feeding it to the youngsters.
Can't wait to see the changes this next week will bring!

Three times in the short half hour we were there. No wonder these babies are so big, and only to happy to eat!
At some points during our visit, it looked as if the bigger of the two babies was trying to feed him/herself! Can't wait to see the changes this next week will bring!

Hello Everyone,
We made a quick trip to this nest last night. At first Ma was sitting on the limb right beside the nest having a bit of a nap. Wasn't long before she was joined by baby 1. .
He/she sat with Ma for a while before he/she started to wingersize!!

Re: Hastings Street/PNE Nest, Vancouver - 2018 & 2019
Baby 2 stuck his/her head up at some point as if to say, 'DO YOU MIND?!!'. LOL I think baby 1 was using his/her sibling as a launch pad. I think there is quite a difference size between these 2 youngsters because the other eaglet has no where near the amount of dark feathers as the older one.
Can't wait to see what happens next time we visit!
Cheers
