Thanks Sandra! I always look for Miller too but the juveniles don't ever seem to fly low enough to look for a band :( Yes, please pass along to David if you think he would be interested.

Early on May 4 I saw Pa looking particularly handsome on a branch right above the nest. He might have just delivered breakfast as he was quite interested in something going on in the nest

In mid afternoon on May 6 another food delivery by Pa. It was quite a warm day with a bit of a heat haze so not the best pics. It looks as though Pa had a bit of a tricky landing and from the last pic it looks as though Ma wasn't too impressed with his delivery :)

Late afternoon on May 8 Pa made a delivery of fresh fish. I'm not sure what kind they are but from the close crop they seem small ...... maybe herring???

Lots of excitement late afternoon on May 13 when Pa returned to the nest with a heron. It looked to be an adult heron so would feed the eaglet(s) for quite a few meals I should think.

He perched above the nest after his delivery probably to rest after carrying such a heavy load. But very soon a juvenile appeared and he set off to escort the juvenile out of the area........

.... but the juvenile was very reluctant to leave and there was quite a chase, sometimes Pa in front and sometimes the juvenile. With a lot of shouting at each other!

They were flying right overhead so my camera was having a hard time working out which way was the right way up :) But it was an amazing 3D chase!

The juvenile was extremely persistent and several times Pa had to set off to chase him/her away. But eventually Pa saw the juvenile off and landed back in his favourite tree to proclaim victory :)

Late evening on May 13 I saw my first eaglet in the nest. An adult was feeding definitely one but perhaps even two?

The head of an eaglet just visible above the edge of the nest

The adult reaching further into the nest perhaps feeding a second eaglet??

In early afternoon on May 14, Ma and Pa were feeling pretty good about everything as they spent some time circling together overhead, including getting photo bombed by one of our resident nesting violet green swallows :)

Another glimpse of an eaglet on the evening of May 18 ...... looking perhaps a bit bigger? But definitely good to know that at least 1 eaglet is surviving. :D

The location of the nest makes photographing the nest in the late evening really tricky as the sun sets right behind the nest so please excuse the haziness of the pic.
