Visited this nest March 2, 2024. No sights nor sounds of eagle activity, nest nicely ready for use.
A friend who can see the nest from her home has assured me there is a pair of active eagles around.

I got back to this nest today. Sat watching duck behaviour in the water below the nest. Lots going on down there. Nothing at the nest was noticed. I did see an adult eagle flying out over Porpoise Bay a few times but no indication it was one of our Marsh adults.
I also looked carefully for heron nests apparently near the nest tree this year but couldn't find any.
I will not give up, shall return.

Eating lunch at The Lighthouse Restaurant on Saturday, I could see an eagle fishing out over the water. Can't say it was one of ours, as there must be a lot of nests along the shores of the bay. Before heading home, I took a detour, turned around, so I was heading for the Marsh nest ahead of me. There was movement in the nest this time. The friend I was driving confirmed that. Not a white head, but movement. :thumlft:
