I had posted on my IPad but somehow it never got posted here.
I have been checking this nest quite frequently through my telescope I see Ma & Pa Stalashen in the tree in the nest, flyins and flyouts but I cannot tell if there are any eggs. Perhaps if one of the HWF members or anyone is able to visit the nest to check it when they have time they could notify me. I did go a few weeks ago (someone drove me there) but I couldn't tell. Let's hope it is productive this season. :)

I've hesitated to go into the neighbourhood since you heard they didn't want people around during covid. You think they'd be OK with visitors now?

Sandra, I went there with my son a few weeks ago we were in the vehicle but I would think that it is o.k. to visit.

I drove through down there early April. Didn't get out of the car, saw no eagles in the tree, nest, area. One could have been deep down in the nest though. :luck: Hoping so!

I still see them there I have seen one in the tree and the other in the nest a few times so I guess we'll have to wait to see what happens again.

This morning I checked the nest through the telescope and Saw Pa at the top
of the tree and Ma in the nest. She was standing and it seemed she may have been feeding either herself or perhaps an eaglet :puzz: it's difficult to tell at this distance.

After watching the nest at different times of the day I have not been able to tell from this distance if there are any eaglets there, but in the past I would have seen evidence by now. Sad to say. :cry1:
Sandra has more to add about this.

I visited this nest on June 13. Found no activity nor sounds on arrival so headed to the beach from where eaglets can often be seen if standing in the nest. I saw none, nor adults. On my way back to the car I heard what sounds like young heron vocalizing on neighbourhood property across the road from the nest tree! On looking up I could see part of a nest and an adult heron fly in! There is definitely more than 1 nest there. A neighbour told me the noise goes on incessantly.
I'm glad I stopped before getting into the car, as both adults then flew in, perched on branches just above their nest. No eaglet sounds erupted. :( The adults were quiet, left within a few minutes.
I guess the heronry will be spared a number of their young being stolen as eaglet food this year!

I've driven under this nest twice since my last post. No eagles have been seen in the nest tree nor around it, in the neighbourhood. There is activity in the heronry though.
