Stalashen Bald Eagle Nest, Sunshine Coast B.C. Seasons 2019-2024

This will be the start of the 2022-2023 Season!

This morning 6:50am I could see an eagle perched on a branch in the nest tree!
Hoping we see an eaglet or two this year!

Through my telescope:

I saw one eagle in the nest probably Ma and the other one on the favourite branch this morning around 7:30am.

My Stalashen eagles are still visiting the nest and I believe starting to rebuild it.
I have seen them perched in branches and in the nest over the last few weeks. If I'm lucky I see one fly out or in.

Good morning. I managed to take a picture of the pair. The picture isn't really clear sorry.

I drove around the neighbourhood Dec 30/22 and found both adults perched in the nest tree above the nest. What a beautiful and promising sight.

I have been unable to post for a while.
Good that you saw them Sandra. I see them often, sometimes one other times both in the tree. I saw one in the nest a few times so maybe checking the condition.

Viewing through my telescope this morning I saw Ma & Pa Stalashen perched at the top of the nest tree.

I drove under the tree again on Jan. 21 to find both eagles perched in the nest tree. Bigger eagle was closer to the nest this time.

I have seen both eagles recently and occasionally have seen a fly out
They are both here but haven't seen much activity in the nest.

Thats great news Marg and Sandra! I'm glad to hear that both eagles are around and hopefully starting to think about using the nest.

I was looking through the telescope a few days ago and saw 2 eagles but one was in what looked like a nest in the old nest tree then one flew in and shortly after flew away. Is there another nest? I haven't seen much going on in the nest that they have been using for a long time. I see them perched there, sometimes one eagle other times the 2 are at the top or Ma & Pa are in different areas of the tree.

March 18 was he last time I checked the nest here. Pa was perched in the nest tree, as we have known it, no sign of Ma. Heronry in the next block along apparently is noisy and busy.
Will have to check in the old nest tree next time I get there Marg.

I look fairly regularly through my telescope and have seen one or both Ma & Pa in the nest tree and also the other day saw one in the nest tree and one in the old nest tree.

I drove through the area May 13. I saw no eagles in, near or around the nest. Not in the old nest tree either Marg.
