I heard from my contact and he recently saw an eagle perched in a tree there but not the nest tree perhaps it was Ma or Pa Stalashen.

Both Karen and Jack have seen an eagle couple perched down in the estuary, where our couple often perch. Both said they were very noisy.

We saw 2 eagles perched on the tree yesterday, so I guess they’re back.

Good morning! Now that leaves are beginning to fall I now have a view of the Stalashen nest tree and the perch tree through my telescope! Right now I see either Ma or Pa on a favourite branch.

I'm so glad you can see them now and can start giving updates again!

Approx: 2:45pm today I looked through the telescope saw an eagle in the nest and about 15 seconds later it flew out of the nest.

The other evening it was getting a little dark but I saw Ma & Pa on the nest tree.

Just going through some pics from a few weeks ago and found this one that I took of the Stalashen nest from Mission Point. No adults around though.

I don't remember seeing it quite so clearly from there before so perhaps a tree came down and cleared the sightline?

It does look open in behind. Where did you take the photo from?

We were about half way down the beach at Mission Point on a low tide. I don't remember it as a super low tide, just averagely low

But could be a useful alternative viewpoint with Margs summer view being blocked by the lilac tree.

That's like the back view of what I see through my telescope, good shot Heather.
added: when I make your picture bigger I'm not sure whether it is the back view the nest looks to be on the same side.
I will have to see if my neighbour could take some off the top of the lilac tree (not a bush anymore). Another neighbour does trimming there for the owners.

I've seen the eagles in the nest, at the top of the tree and also on various branches either alone or both in the tree and just now I witnessed one fly from the nest.☺ I've seen this fairly often. It's been very windy with the nest tree swinging back and forth but right now we have brilliant sunshine.❤

Good morning. Here is a picture I took through my telescope. The eagle pair have been active in their nest and when I looked just now they were both near each other. It's hard to get a good quality photo this time of year and through a telescope.
This one I cropped and lightened.

Hi Heather I was sitting here recently and thinking that I should tell you about this when the tide was out Earl and I would walk out at Davis Bay on the exposed sand and we saw the nest tree from that vantage point. I believe I took a picture nice a long time ago. You can also see Mount Baker!

Mission Point is such a great spot for watching eagles and other birds. Plus Mt Baker .... on a clear day of course!

And I love that romantic picture of Ma and Pa at the nest.

5:02pm I just saw 2 in the nest then one flew out - shift change I believe.

They are there throughout the day when I look, very early in the morning too but maybe to early for you to visit Sandra. Tomorrow, I'll try to alert you when I see them. (Do you want me to phone or email?)

Email is fine Marg. I'm in my fleecies most days, don't go out much. I will be travelling past the nest later Thurs afternoon. Depending on weather, I'll nip into the neighbourhood with my camera.

Here they both are at the top of the tree around 8am this morning. Not a very good picture.

It is a good picture Marg considering how far away that nest is, weather conditions overcast at present. Promising to see them perching together close to the nest.
