Lochside Eagles, Central Saanich, BC - 2019-2024 Seasons

I was out visiting eagle nests on the Saanich peninsula today and as we were driving along the highway heading for Victoria my birding partner spotted an eagle perched in one of the Lochside pair's favourite perch trees, just a short way from the nest tree

I visited the nest area with my birding partner on Mar. 10th. We did not see or hear any eagles in the area. The nest is intact but we did not notice any new sticks.

We noticed a bunch of white things in the nest; I zoomed in for a better view.
Looks like bird or gull feathers.

I visited the area of the nest with my birding partner on Apr. 9th. We viewed it from across the road and up the hill by the fields. We did not have a good view of the nest but did see an adult flying overhead. We were hoping it would go to the nest but it perched at the top of a nearby tree.

These photos were all taken from Lochside Dr. We did not see or hear an eagle in the area. However, there could have been one down deep in the nest.
