Hi all
Mike and I were at the park a couple of times yesterday and the Juvenile as well as one adult were sitting in the coastguard tree.
He looked quite skinny compared to the adult so I thought the adult might be the female. We have been checking all the Vancouver nests daily and this is the only juvenile that we have seen return so far.

Hi everyone
The last time I saw 2 adults at Vanier was Oct.14th. They do go away for a few days here and there when they don't have babies but this has been a long time now. If anyone sees the two of the together can you please write on the forum. It is the female that isn't there. The coastguard nest has fallen quite a bit on one side due to the rain and recent winds. Im not sure why this photo is turned around and I don't know how to straighten it..sorry

Both adults were at Vanier Park this morning, one was in the coastguard tree and one was sitting in a tree next to where the old nest used to be before it was cut down. The female has been gone for over three weeks so I am not sure if this is the same one or if he has a new mate.

I wonder if they will start building a nest at the coast guard tree or last year's nest.

The Parks board cut down the tree that their nest was in. There was a pole put in close to the music academy but they don’t seem interested in it yet.

Looks like some pile driving happening across from the Coast Guard station. A larger ferry dock for the aquabus will be installed :

Two adults have been building a new nest in the bike park over the past few weeks.
Re: Vanier Park Eagles - 2018 - 2020 Seasons
it looks like the eagles are using the new nest in the bike park and not (yet?) using the pole-mounted nest in the adjacent forest.
Lots of kids at the bike park due to spring break.

Passed by today briefly...a lot less people around but no fewer than four adult eagles--all flying around and calling like mad.

Nesties
Was down to Kitsilano Monday April 20 on my way back from the Dr. about my feet, now that a whole new story during the Coronavirus,
on my way to the Vet in Kitsilano to pick up Einsteins ashes observed from Burrard Bridge the new nest with a juvenile standing up on the nest bowl by him/her self but when we went to observe the nest from the ground the eaglet had sat down and the eaglet was invisible to see from the ground observation
