A pair of eagles have been hanging around vanier park again. Spending time in the bike park and the eagle pole in the woods near the academy of music.

It looks like the eagles will use the nesting pole near the Academy of Music this year!
Re: Vanier Park Eagles - Seasons 2018 - 2024
The pair were at the artificial nest pole by the music school. The female was sitting 25 feet SE from the nest. The male delivered a new stick to the nest then joined the female for a quick mating. Then off for more nest material.

No sign of the eagles near the artificial nest today.

Found one of them sitting at the top of the tree down by the boat launch.

Finally found an angle to confirm she's sitting quietly very low in the nest. Just spotted some of the white feathers between the branches of the nest.

Well they have an egg or two. One was sitting low in the nest when I arrived. After a few minutes I was lucky enough to see that one leave the nest and do a 20 meter circle and back to the nest while calling the mate. Sure enough 2 minutes later the mate arrived and sat on the north edge of the nest for a few minutes. They both had a chat, then the original one left the nest and flew off to the south-west. The new one then settled into the nest for it's turn. This occured at 5:45pm. I have a few snapshots of the one on the edge of the nest. Leaves are starting to come in and I haven't found a good spot to see the nest from a distance.

Just tweaked the photo a bit

Dropped by the nest around 1pm today. Was able to capture one of the adults leaving the nest. It took off to the north (boat launch side).
They seem to leave north or south. Not so much east or west. Most likely due to the artificial perches.
