Hi everyone

One of the Vanier Eagles is back.............the exact same day as last year October 4th.

Hi everyone

The female starting sitting in the nest on Feb 28th. They don't lay eggs right away but we were watching today and it looked like she was rolling an egg. I am attaching a photo that we took on March 2, 2022. I hope that everyone respects the incubation period and lets her have as much quiet as possible for the next 6 weeks at least.

Haven't been down there much lately, but went today : there's a baby there, maybe 2?

Yes it sure is… more than two weeks earlier than last year . Hope they do well.

Parks board removed the nest that they used last year.

They have been hanging around the trees in the bike park but I don't think the pair have nested as of yet.

Can't say for sure...I am guessing that they thought the eagles would be disturbed by the construction of the Senawk development near the Burrard bridge? Seems a bit presumptous... Bike park folks will miss having the eagles around...
