Thank you, Ferenz, for your reporting during this challenging season - hoping for much better luck next year.

And I love your thought, carolyn - I sometimes picture my brother watching the eagles somewhere beyond the rainbow.

Judy, That was a sweet post....you had me in tears. I do see your brother enjoying the presence of angel eagles.
Ferenz, Judy is right you are amazing to cover all these nests so thoughtfully and faithfully. Thank you, it means the world to me and I am sure to others.

Ferenz, that one branch is so fascinating. Then to say that the picture of Mrs. G and Aran on it is a keepsake. They have each other come what may. Soon they will migrate and hopefully back to be together again.

New Season is due to begin in awaiting Aran's and Mrs.G's return!

Our friends Joanna Dailey and Chris Wood are currently in West Africa looking for wintering ospreys. Today (1st February) they visited the Casamance area of Senegal and photographed our own KC4, the youngest of the 2020 Glaslyn brood. It was close to the area that Joanna had previously seen KC4 last November. Huge thanks to Joanna for reporting the news and sending us the fantastic images of KC4 so promptly.

Preparations are continuing at Glaslyn Ospreys to get ready to open for the new season on Monday 28 March. Work on the replacement hide nears completion and Trustees, Volunteers and Visitor Centre Manager Heather Corfield are pictured outside the new building on Saturday 5 March.

Mrs G is currently on the Pont Croesor nest with Z2/Aeron and he has shared his fish catches with her. It is not unusual to see this courtship behaviour in areas where ospreys breed close to one another, while they are waiting for their own partners to arrive. Once their own mates arrive back Mrs G should return to her own nest. https://www.facebook.com/BywydGwylltGla ... 5207755385
