6:59am. SE 28 branches by using 27's head as a jump up help! lol
7:00am. And off over 27's head.
Last scap shows both cam views of the event.

so 28 branched -- on Day 77 since hatch.

Friday 2021 oct 22 – it is all happening, after an early morning feed for both from a gull nestling. SE 28 stumbled and fell, though we feel it was able to fly to safety. 28 can be heard calling from somewhere nearby. Shortly after SE27 fledged and flew off. Neither were found with camera searches on the round or nearby – finding them is hard. There is no need to search for either in the forest. We shall continue to watch and listen. The currawongs seem to have found them and will guide our camera search.
So both have fledged and we are not concerned at this stage. In fact good news. We shall post more information and photos later.

7:22 SE28 tried to fly up to branch, instead landing on 27, resulting in a 'fludge'--
-8:33 SE27 flew off nest .

An update and the latest news SE27 was found on the roadside in a busy area of Sydney Olympic Park. We are very fortunate that the ranger who captured the juvenile was experienced in handling animals. They contacted me and the eaglet has been taken for veterinary care and assessment. We believe this is SE27 who may have become "lost" flying away from the wetlands and becoming confused. It is probably dehydrated but will receive all necessary care and assessment. We shall let you all know when we have any news.

5th November, 2021 - Latest SE27 update:
SE27 is doing well, gaining strength and is feeding by itself. It has moved to a larger raptor cage to allow it to exercise and recover.
The treating vets have advised that SE27 will be in care for a few weeks while it recovers and will be released back into the wild as soon as it's well enough.
Healing takes time so please be patient.
Updates will follow when possible.
BTW, we hear fish and mice have been on the menu!
It is unlikely any photos will be issued while in captivity.
There are no reported sightings of SE28
