RangerJudy
Some more duck facts: Daisy's Ducklings will be ready to leave the nest very soon after hatching. Ducklings leave the nest when fully dry, usually early to mid-morning. The newly hatched ducklings will jump from this high nest, “floating” to the ground when they will be led off by Daisy. We hope she will be able to call the ducklings through the fence around the forest, then take them to water. It will be a long walk which ever direction she takes. The brood will depend entirely on Daisy for care and she may be aggressive towards other ducklings they may meet. The ducklings may hide and “freeze” if threatened.
