The first egg for the 2020 nesting season was laid on June 18th at 9.35am.

The second egg was laid on June 21st at 7.25pm.

Incubation time is ~40 days.

For updates check out http://www.facebook.com/Sea.EagleCAM/

For more information about the EagleCAM project check out the website https://sea-eaglecam.org/

some interesting facts taken from the EagleCAM Facebook page "No wonder the nest is so big. From April 19 to the laying of the first egg, our eagles made 462 trips to the nest with sticks or leaves. Dad brought 270 contributions and Lady 192. Such skill is manipulating some really big sticks into just the right place. And the work still continues."

Can you tell which is SE25 and which is SE26 from colour of egg?
The really stained looking egg is SE25 so that is the egg that should pip first. :)

Diary Friday 31 July - Feedings

#1 ~ 6:28-6:34 lady fed chicks from a fish which looked to be hidden in the bowl. She got caught in the brown leaves several times & ended up covering the chicks with leaves. Both chicks ate some fish
#2 ~ 7:03-7:11 lady fed fish to both chicks. SE25 got majority, while SE26 was caught under a twig.
#3 ~07:35-07:41 lady fed to both
#4 ~ 9:33-9:38 lady fed fish to chicks
#5 ~ 11:25-11:34 lady fed fish to both chicks
# 6 13:48-13:57 Lady fed fish to both
#7 14:48 - 14:57 Lady fed 25, 26 didn't eat
# 8 15:40- 15:48 Lady fed both Bird . Dad brought in at 15:38
#9 16:00 Dad in with beam fish and there was a short feeding. Cam was mostly on fish for identification so not sure if both were fed.

July 7 2020
12:00 Lady seemed to get SE26 caught in between her talons when she went to brood them as it had started raining. :(
14:01:48 - -14:02 small peek under lady , I only saw SE26 however others saw both chicks :luck:
14:38 Se 25 went potty. Did not see SE 26
15:10 pm Lady has not given us a real good peek since 12:00
Just as the cam turned to night mode Lady gives us a good peek of the chicks when she has a potty break. Other then SE26 head is a bit wet both seem OK :)
