Spotted while on a Fraser Valley Safari Tour:
Banded – Tagged Bald Eagles: From Where?
On Dec. 1, 2019 on the Fraser River Safari Tour we spotted two marked eagles: (1) Adult with patagial tag: #43 on Orange tag and (2) juvenile going into 4th year: A5 on White tag.
Does anybody recognize the source and know the date of these taggings? The next day we got a photo of one of our own GPS tagged birds. It all helps.
Thanks

David Here: Can anyone identify these tags?
Re: David Here: Can anyone identify these tags?
The top one might be K-43 (named Shyla) a 2014 eagle banded and tagged by the Institute for Wildlife Studies at the Two Harbors nest on Santa Catalina Island off the coast of southern California. Here's a fuzzy video on K-43 as a fledgling, taken from a video on their site.
The letter K is typically smaller than the numbers and at the top of the tag, so would be hidden by the feathers in the picture David got.
And I just got a reply from Dr. Sharpe of IWS to my post on their Facebook page, saying that K-43 was near Qualicum Beach BC on November 14, so I think it's her! I'll send a message to David.
