Unusual Event: the two fledglings from the nest to the north fledged around the time Quebec was leaving, and visited the nest and perches in the WR territory a number of times starting August 10 and at least one was there at least through August 28; at least one of their parents was also around, but I think stayed at the edge of our eagles' territory while the youngsters visited the nest and spent time on the bluff platform nest and I'm less sure when he or she was last seen.
2020 Cam Maintenance - August 24 (new West/CU cam; North cam cleaned; nothing done to WA cam; an attempt was made to replace the South/Bluff cam that stopped working.

2021-2022 Nesting Season
Adults Return:Sept 29 2021 6:49am Mom first spotted as she lands on OT.
Nest Work: Nest work on the peace tree (PT). They both worked hard. Good looking nest by the time 1st egg was laid.
Egg(s) Laid: Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:40 pm. We have an Egg! Not visible via cams . We do not know if a 2nd egg was laid however Mom's actions indicated she delayed incubation for 3 1/2 days at which time a 2nd egg would usually be laid and then she went into full time incubation.
Pip Seen: We won't be able to see a pip this year with no view of bowl. Should be around April 26-27?
Egg(s) Hatched: April 29, 2022 – the adults were sitting higher in the nest this morning, suggesting that they may have a chick. And there was a feeding at 4:16 pm – and it looked as if there may be two chicks! There’s a video of the feeding on the forum if you’d like a peek – viewtopic.php?f=14&t=589&start=2850#p572033.
Eaglet(s) Named: Sierra and Tango, following the aviation alphabet used here.
Sad News: June 14, 2022 – both eaglets died, probably of avian flu; they were 46 days old, and had seemed fine until a day or so before, and even then, there wasn’t anything that obvious given the obstructed view of the nest.
Adults Last Seen: Aug 1 both visited last years nest early morning.
Cam Maintenance: September 9, 2022 (link) - broken strap that had been holding the top part of the CU cam replaced; other straps on the CU and North cams checked, and some cleaning done to the domes of both, though there were some sticky spots that defied the cleaning cloths.
