6:53pm another young one on OT. Flew off just after .
Dad (no scap) was in tall east tree and he flew off when young one came flying by to close for comfort.
Dad lands on nest both Mom and Dad trilling warnings.
Exchange of egg duty.
Mom flew to OT.
7:11pm Mom flew off OT.
Most of the eagles shown in previous posts still perched in trees around the area.

7:22pm Five in a tree left from T N/W tree. So many eagles perched in the area via CU panning if you want to see them all. Wonder if they plan to stay for the night.
This is more then we usually see in the trees during spawning times.

re: many eagles in area
ground observer: 5-5:30 pm
My husband and I counted 12 bald eagles riding the same updraft, back from the WR #2 bluff at 5-5:30. The oldest eagles flew (soared) very high and there were many, many juveniles soaring quite low. One neighbour reported that an eagle dropped a dead seagull in her yard.
It was quite a sight but also disturbing because they were all only 2 blocks away from WR nest #2.
I will take more counts tomorrow.
I'm relieved to see that the WR nest seems fine.
good night!

Thank you Tweety for your ground observations. We like to hear from ground observers and can be posted here just like you did with the heading it is a ground observation .
The young eagles for the most part are not bothering our pair. Some near by fly overs are quickly discouraged by Dad or Mom - whichever parent is not egg sitting. When they perch on nearby trees it does not seem to bother our pair.
