The nest observers noticed that the eagles are using hay to line the nest bole. I agree completely with DD that it likely comes from a construction site (formerly Potters Store) nearby. The day that the hay was spread at the construction site was the same day that the hay was noticed in the nest. I drive past it daily. I can confirm that timing.

from the ground no eagles visible (or heard) in the vicinity of the nest tree
2 crows were robbing the nestovers (I love that word ) and perhaps the nest materials as well

One adult glides to nest from NW, feet out for landing, nothing in talons. From below it looks like maybe there is already another eagle on the nest.
Winds are calming somewhat.
app 7:45
nest appears empty now, both adults soaring and gliding very close by and over the nest tree
0ne juvenile or sub adult? is gliding over the properties and shoreline SE and one adult is soaring above that one. Mottling of Plumage is hard to make out in the eve sky but the distinctive white head of the adult can be seen, even in this waning light.
No other eagles seen, lots of gulls, many crows
lots of camera trouble today, oh dear.
Surrey Reserve has a confirmed hole with an egg tooth visible (egg one.) Egg two has a pip still yet to be confirmed 100% We have chick(s) coming!!! don't miss them
