3.39p The last few days, I have watched Dad attempt mating and mom rebuffing, so to me, it says she is over her urge to nest, we also know eggs take 72 hours to make the way down the truck.so another year no bobbles, And I will go out on the limb and say, that the RUBBER mat has a lot to do with it. Of course, people with expertise can refute this statement. all this watching, documenting, zooming for nothing. Sure the view is great, lots of other nests have great views, and people in the *know* at least make a statement or an observation. Here? nothing.

I have wondered if Dad did get some poisoning when we observed his green yellow PS/fecal matter ,on March 6 2019.and he was puffy for 2 days ( approx) after. We never got another picture of his PS/ fecal matter after that first observation, plus we also do not know if he was pooping green yellow days before March 6, as we did not observe a PS on cam . It could be possible that whatever it was that made him sick, also effected his ability to fertilize Mom's eggs. :dunno: :cry1:

The would not matter DD, she can still lay an egg and be a dud , I watched a PS a day or so after , it was white .anyway I know they can delay a month, if another active nest with eggs nearby , I just wished DH can give us his opinion, *too old* don't want any more, does not come into play in the wild , they live to procreate .so what gives ? they can also produce yellow poop if intestines are empty.

Don't the other HWF nests also have rubber mats at the base of the nests? Surrey Reserve now has two chicks hatched, and it looks like hatching is underway at Delta 2. So the rubber mats don't seem to have negatively impacted those nests.

Mom WR HATES the mat, she has done everything in her power to get it off, tugging, pulling, for two years now
every time they schooch , do a bowl check the mat is exposed, and there is lots of soft material in there now , but its pushed to the sides , there is a tie in there too , she has tried to get it , but of course its holding sticks together, it was not snipped off.
