Great news - I just watched one of the eaglets flying. It did a big circle around the Pandora tree and landed back at a westerly branch. The other eaglet was perched on the very top of the tree. What a great sight - so glad I was looking out my window.

Hi everyone,
I couldn't post earlier but I did see at 1:23pm this afternoon the other eaglet fledged. It had been sitting on the very top of the Pandora tree and took off. It flew about half a block east then went back and landed in an evergreen nearby the nest tree. How exciting to see both eaglets fledging in the same hour. Yay!!

Such great observations posted here. I've caught up with this family's happenings from one eaglet getting bumped and ending up on a branch, thankfully, much lower in the tree, to getting itself back up to rejoin the family. And both fledges documented, complete with safe landings back into the tree. Thank you for your ongoing postings Annemie, Stan, Christine. All seems good at Pandora.

I could only spot either Apollo or Artemis on my 2 walks by the Pandora nest this morning. Both times the one eaglet I spotted was making short flights around the top of the tree.
No parents around today......

Just got back from the nest and there was only 1 eaglet there, doing a lot of squealing. No parents around either. I am curious as to who might be at the AN and if the other eaglet would venture down there with the adults?

Just did a complete scan of the tree from every angle with binoculars and here's what I found Eastvan Girl from 8.30 to 9 PM:
-1 eaglet
-1 adult (Pa) VERY low on a branch on the north side of the tree
-2 Norther Flickers courting on a high branch
That's it {1 eaglet deciding to fly the coop it appears}......

Hi Steamer,
Wow - we missed eachother at the tree by 20 minutes. Sounds like you saw the same eaglet I saw and it does sound like the other may have flown the coop. Glad a parent showed up because the eaglet was making quite the racket while I was there. Thanks for your info. Cheers!

No Apollo or Artemis at 10 AM this morning folks....only Pa in the shade preening near his usual spot.
Looks like kids have gone to the beach to cool down

I can't see either of the kids either - only Pa on his branch.
