She gets uneasy about something going on below the nest and stops eating.

She's had enough from the disturbance and leaves the nest.

She arrives back at the nest at 5 pm.

Hal and Wakati were both seen today.

Saturday September 8th, 2018


The day started out with Wakati vocalizing ( as she always has ) for a morning fish...

Her day starts with her coming down to the nest where she continues to vocalize for a fish delivery.

Eventually she heads back up to the perch and leaves around 7:49 am

8:55 am - She returns back to the nest just before Hal arrives with a fish for her.

She eats some of the fish and then stops...

9:46 am - She takes the remainder of her fish off the nest... This is possibly the last time that we will see her.

12:07 pm - no sign of her returning back to the nest yet.

weather update...


4:47 pm : Still no sign of Wakati or Hal returning back to the nest.

It's almost midnight... Wakati has migrated and there's a good chance Hal has too.
( I'll keep an eye open just in case he's still around )


May their migration's keep them safe.. may they find lots of fish along the way..
enjoy your time off Harriet and Hal. We hope to see you again some day.

Such a good dad, Hal is.......wonderful season (with glitches). Thank you Joce for all you did. I have been in Alaska on vacation.
Adios to this nest, you might see Hal one more time, who knows?

Hal and Harriet set out to raise their chicks,
knowing it would not be quick as a lick,
they did their best, we saw some of the rest.....

And now they fly, sky high, to their new home.....

Hi Bev, carolyn and everyone.

I guess it's about that time for the Montana O's to return. Unfortunately due to situations that have popped up in my home territory I won't be able to commit the time and dedication required to track them this season. I'll pop in from time to time when I can. I'm truly hoping that Harriet and Hal return for another wonderful season in 2019.
