10:48 am in rollback, posting the ending of the second feeding with some things I saw. Brit provides a nice and little big bite. SR9 went after the bite but tumbled backwards. And just like that, pops back up. Strong little chick!

10:49 am in rollback, Brit provides another larger bite. It took a bit of doing but SR9 got it. Good to see. Now the second feeding is finished.

10:50 am in rollback, after the second feeding, Brit vocalizes. She then turns to the nest bowl and tucks in SR9 under her.

The size of that bite to scale would be like us eating 5 Big Macs ! Haha , I also agree with the Quickness of sr9 getting off his\her back , shows a healthy one !

11:25 am in rollback, Brit gets up and the chick wakes up to pop out from under Brit. Brit settles the chick back under her. Then the chick pops out from under her. Feisty little thing.

11:31 am will be off my computer to wait for a storm to move through. Hope to be back earlier than later.

11:54:38 right before feed I love this , sr9 stands up so tall showing good power in those little legs

11:57:27 what I first thought was fish after the big chunk sr9 ate looked like it was not fully down but zooming in it looks to be nesting grass out the side of the mouth (right hand side)

just thought I would add it in
yes 11:56:45 sr9 got the big chunk then went forward and touched the nesting material ... was hard to tell what it was in real time

rollback

1234 - Brit greeted Rey as he landed from the North. He was clearly interested in taking over parenting duties. He only had a short time earlier.

Brit was happy to get up and let him have his time.

1235 - Rey checked on his little one first

1236 - Rey has a few bites to eat for himself, but he seemed conflicted about it. He looked at the food and then at his chick who we can see standing up tall in the nest bowl! (Strong baby!) Rey will remember soon and get into the groove.

He brought a large piece over to the baby, they baby fell and then turned the other way and slumped over.

from the rollback

1250 - SR9 is watching dad Rey, while trying to stay upright.

The second scap shows Rey's attempt to offer a bite to SR9, but the little one had toppled over and was facing the other way :D
