0619 - Brit softly greeted Rey as he arrived with what looked like either some big grasses or weeds or some kind of pelt?

0620 - Something bothered the Eagles and they both flew off after it, Rey leading the way. Brits vocals were loud nearby.

The egg

0622 - The egg was alone for less than 2 minutes before the all clear and Rey arrived and immediately covered it. He multi tasks by moving a stick and almost pulling that big wad of grass closer to him.

The pics today look as of there is a change in the egg. Is there a PIP here?

Hello potsomehwere. Certainly needs to be checked. I downloaded your two images and tried to zoom but but hard to tell if it is grass or a pip.

Welcome portsomewhere to our discussion forum! I see this is your first post here so feel free to ask any questions you might have or post your observations as you see them!

Regarding your s'caps............I do see some dark spots on the egg in your s'caps. But we need to have a closer look as most of the time it is just debris the egg has picked up from rolling around in the nest bowl, especially since we've had rain which makes thing stick easier.

On May 1st which is 3 days from now we will be officially on pip watch. It generally takes at least 35 days for a pip or hatch but it usually is a bit longer than that in my experience.......around 37/38 or so. We are all going to be watching.
