2:55pm....Such a good mate Rey.

Out for a walk around noon, I caught Rey (at least I think it is Rey) leaving the nest (12:10), perching in a tree across the way (12:14) and then returning to the nest (12:15). I am so happy with rey ... in his short time hes really come along , he is a REALLY strong protector ... and the bond he has with brit really shows with the egg in nest now

3:00pm....Here comes Brit! She disappeared up top.

7:20pm.........IN on both cams.

From the rollback........all was calm until Rey brought another stick to the nest at 7:10pm. It was a comedy of errors as he tried to put it into the right place while Brit was determined to keep that egg protected.

7:31pm......From the rollback........Brit kept yakking at Rey but he was determined to work on the sticks.

[Jean]

7:31pm.........From the rollback.............Hilarious, but heartwarming....... .....Rey laid down in the nest by Brit. He looked to be trying to push her off the egg so he could take over. Brit did not budge.

I don't think I've ever seen a male and female adult lying together in a nest like this before.

7:33pm......From the rollback........Brit kept on vocalizing to Rey until he finally got up and flew off the nest.

7:36pm......Since that time not much has happened...Brit remains on the egg.

Brit was up to loosen the bedding and is now lying down pulling grasses all around her.

7:46pm....I do not see Rey. But Brit has made some soft vocals............think he's up top again on guard. Don't want another episode like last night's intruder. He will be watching.

Brit is going to sleep.

8:08pm......Up to dig in the bedding........we could not see much of the egg this time. Brit is now back down in the nest.
