7:02 am in rollback, Rey flies with with some food and Brit was vocalizing as she followed him into the nest. Brit takes the food and begins to eat. Rey then flew.

7:11 am in rollback, Brit finished her meal and she is now sitting in the nest.
I am going to need to leave and will be gone most of the morning. If anyone is watching or see Brit lay her first egg, please post. Thanks“Eagles: When they walk, they stumble. Thanks for confirming this is Brit, Sandy! She's still in the same position with a rather intent look (or maybe I'm seeing what I hope to see).
I'll keep an eye on her.
I am not logged into the cams at this point - will log in if other zoomers aren't here and I see her start rocking, and will post before I log in.

7:40 am
Logging in on the South cam to zoom in a little closer.
7:45 am
I'm glad Brit is used to all the construction nearby - it's distracting me, but she seems quite focused on sitting on the nest.
I am logged in on South; North is available to other zoomers, and I'm happy to log out if anyone wants to take a look around.

8 am
Brit flew off to the right, in the general direction of the night perch.
It's not unusual for a female close to egg laying to take an occasional flight away from the nest - so she might be back soon after stretching her wings a bit.
I lost her behind the raindrops, and have moved the cam back to a wider view of the nest in case she returns to the perches beside/above the nest.
I am logging out of the cam for the moment, but staying nearby. Ryan, please feel free to look around - I haven't been zooming lately, so don't know where to look for her.
Added - great s'caps!

It looks as if the rain may be letting up for a bit. I'm logging into the South cam briefly.

I am logged out of the cams.
I didn't see anyone in the upper branches, though they are good at hiding.
I'm away from the computer, but will be watching on my iPad while we have lunch.

Adult on the nest moving a stick - I think this might be Dad Rey, and, if so, don't expect him to lay an egg, though he is a very amazing eagle.
I went in to move the South cam closer, but he flew off before I logged in, so I am not in either cam, and will return to eating lunch and watching on my iPad.
Added - I logged into South quickly to check the perch area over the nest (didn't see anyone) and to move it a bit closer. I am now out of the cams and away from the computer, but watching.

Took a quick look back, and didn't see any activity since my last post.
I just looked back on the thread from last year, and Brit laid her first egg at 4:22 pm. I have not a clue if eagles generally lay their eggs at the same time of day - but maybe.
I'm going to be away from the computer for a while, but will be back checking on them before mid-afternoon.
Glad to see that the rain has stopped - and it looks as if the eagles at White Rock and Boundary Bay Central who already have eggs are a bit more comfortable now that they are less wet (though they have good weatherproofing in their feathers, and the rain likely bothers us more than the eagles).
11:29 am
I got distracted before I posted - and I see an eagle and a zoomer - hooray!
I am not logged into any cams, and really do need to be away from the computer for an hour or so.
