6:36 am SF has been doing a bit of preening. Heard more vocals earlier but didn't see anyone in the immediate nest tree area. SM is close but not sure where he is.

6:11 am just heard soft eagle vocals but it isn't SF so SM is close by.2022-12-07_8-12-27.jpg
6:11:26/27 on the South Cam. Good morning, Sandy. SF was definitely making those vocals. I rolled back twice on the south cam to be sure and you can see her doing it. I am hoping to eventually learn to tell them apart from their vocals. She's a chatty one.
Thanks, CC as I did not see her mouth moving. :) Would you like to take the cams?

6:44 am SF still on the left support perch. Logging off both cams at 6:44 am as gotta run for a bit.

7:11 - lots of vocals from SF and possibly SM, hard to tell with the sound from both cams cross over.

SF is still on the west perch. I have to get ready for work. Ill check back in a few minutes.

7:19 am in rollback, both are digging in the nest and moving a stick to the rail. SM then hops up to the upper branch.

8:11 am
Adult just arrived with food, panting a bit and looking around. SM?

I'm hopping on the South cam briefly.

Big beak - could be SF.

She or maybe he is starting to eat the food item, looking around warily from time to time.

The adult looks a bit wet, which makes it harder for me to see some of the ID markers; I'm seeing dark around the eyes (SM) and a bit of shading on the tail (SF). Maybe white on back - harder to tell.

8:17 am just checking in to watch. Judy, I believe this is SM as can see the notch in the feather on the right wing. Also, two of those feathers are a bit faded. He sure is enjoying his meal. Gotta run again.

Thanks, Sandy - I was just coming to the same conclusion via a different route. I couldn't see the notch on the back, but definitely don't see light feathers on the back, and the the beak doesn't seem to go as far back as a female's would, though that's really hard to judge because it looks so different at different angles.

I'm happy to log out if you'd like the cams, Sandy - also in the middle of something.

If not, I'll stay logged in so I can move them if SF shows up and put them back when he's done.

8:37 am
Nice long meal.

I'm logging out - will check back to adjust the cams when he leaves.

Hi Judy, I am back. I can take the cams if you need to leave. Just let me know when you are logged in. I have found I can't get on very well when someone else is on.
