7:25 am as typical, SF flies shortly after. Just a quick visit for a nest check this morning.

7:28 am logging off the south cam. The forum is running slow this morning on posting.

6:23 am logging into the south cam for a quick check of the night perch. No visits yet to the nest. Just noticed the south cam is behind the time of about four minutes. 6:26 am off the south cam as didn't see our eagles.
I just talked with Ken - he's going to be working on the stream settings for Surrey and Delta - so there will be some interruptions for those cams while he tries different settings to see if he can get the feed more stable so it doesn't keep falling behind like this.

1:21pm....Good afternoon SR friends! I see the times are correct on our cam views so thanks to Ken for fixing this problem! :woohoo:

It is sunny today but very, very cold.

The rollback starts at about 11am.........no eagles in the nest since that time.

IN on both cams.

1:39pm......No sign of our eagles.

OFF cams.

Adult landed on the nest.
20230129_012.jpg

And now there are two - so I don't have to speculate about which one it is, since I'm pretty sure it's now both of them.
20230129_013.jpg

They were moving a bit of grass/straw/fluff - not sure if the first one brought it.

5:32 pm
One of them left, and the other one was still looking for the perfect spot for the "fluff."
20230129_014.jpg

I think it may be SF who stayed a bit longer - maybe white stripes on the back.
20230129_015.jpg

Remaining adult flew off at 5:35, possibly headed towards the night perch.

Logging in briefly.

In on South - I found someone fairly high up in the night perch tree near the buildings.

Not sure who it is. I'm logging out for now - will check back once I get done with a few other things, and probably pull the cam back a bit unless someone else has arrived to zoom.

So - I just realized that there are two eagles there, when the one on the right (half hidden by the trunk of the tree) gave a good shake.

I logged in briefly to move the cam slightly so they are in the center of the screen and the focus will maybe be a bit better (though tricky with lights in the background going on and off).

I am out again unless they leave before I head to bed.

Have a good night, everyone!

Good evening SR friends. So nice to see both Eagles resting nearby and perched so close to one another.

11:42 pm SF flew into the nest at 9:49 pm. She poked around in the nest and moved some straw before settling into the nestbowl. She lay there looking around for about 7 minutes, got up and moved some more straw, poked at some sticks and dug a bit before leaving by the west perch at 10:00 pm.

Quick check of the dvr -

Both were still on the night perch at 9:23 pm
20230129_022.jpg

SF (on left) was sleeping, while SM seemed restless and was moving around - then SM flew off a few second later, waking up SF as he left (not really visible - but he's the blur in the lower left).
20230129_023.jpg

SF alone.
20230129_024.jpg

I don't think she went back to sleep before her departure at 9:48 pm that gemini caught.

I'm going to log into South briefly to see if they're in the nest tree.

One adult - probably SF - sleeping on the left/west perch

20230130_002.jpg

I didn't see SM anywhere in the tree, though he might be somewhere in the upper branches; I also took a quick wider look at the night perch, and didn't see him there - though it's hard to see them unless they move.

I'll leave the cam watching the nest and SF - and am logged out.

Here's the weather - looks like another chilly day!

5:50 am SM comes to the nest a few minutes ago vocalizing with SF still on the left perch. Logging into the south cam.

5:53 am SM is i the nest vocalizing. He does some digging and lies down in the nest bowl. Both are vocalizing now at 5:55 am.

5:48 am
Adult on the perch woke up and twisted her head way around to look at something while doing a bit of calling.
20230130_004.jpg

Mate arrived from the direction of the south cam tree a moment later, and both called a couple of times.
20230130_005.jpg

Pretty sure new arrival is SM.

Glad you're here, Sandy - I need coffee!

Posting my remaining pics....

SM checking the nest cup area.
20230130_007.jpg
20230130_008.jpg

Going over to chat with SF on the west perch.
20230130_009.jpg

I'm wondering if he wants to mate but doesn't want to go out on that perch to do it - interesting behavior.

And they both seem upset about something - not sure what.
