Re: Surrey Reserve 2022-2023 Observation and Discussion
Forgot to say I am logged in on South again.
The one I think is SM is now perched higher up on the right.
And up even higher and more hidden before I could zoom in for a closeup. Note tail sticking out above where he was a moment ago.
And now back to help with the stick - the one who had been up high is on the left/front.
SM went to the little perch, then up higher. Unless I have my eagles confused.
I need to get back to my other project - will keep one eye on the eagles.
Will try for a couple of closeups first.

The one I think is SF - pretty sure the marks on her beak are from digging around.

SM flew back up into the tree mostly out of sight - then after a bit, he came back to the nest; these are shots that I think are SM - and am sure they are the other adult. Interesting how the dark circles around the eye change.

2:14 pm
Shortly after the last s'cap above, SM went out onto the right/west perch - and a few minutes later, SF went out onto the left/east perch.
I am logged out of both cams.

2:35 pm in rollback, picking up where Judy left off, both perched for awhile. SF and SM were on the perches when SM flies off. SF moves to the nest with SM returning with stick.
“Eagles: When they walk, they stumble. They are not what one would call graceful. They were not designed to walk. They fly. And when they fly, oh, how they fly, so free, so graceful. They see from the sky what we never see.” – Unknown

2:37 pm in rollback, both work in the nest. SM hops to the upper branch and moves up to the top of one of the main trunks of the tree.

2:39 pm in rollback, a pretty white bird flew by the nest tree. SM then flies over to the right side of the nest tree and can see as he seems to fly straight downward.

2:40 pm in rollback, SF is working around the nest when SM returns. Both are poking around when we see some sweet beaking.

He is such a good-looking Eagle. They both are but he is something.JudyB wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:15 pmSM flew back up into the tree mostly out of sight - then after a bit, he came back to the nest; these are shots that I think are SM - and am sure they are the other adult. 1733 - Our pair arrived quietly one after the other. SM did not stay long.
Correction. SM moved out to the eastern perch he likes to use. Ok, now he's back on the nest LOL.
1738 - SM flew off to his storm shelter in the fir tree. I guess he's expecting weather he might not like to sleep in tonight.
1739 - SF joined her mate where they will likely rest for the night.
