3:29 pm Jake getting the "All Is Good to Go" and now climbing down the nest tree. Great job, Max and Jake, and a huge thanks.

3:32 pm Jake now safely on the ground. And a huge thanks to David Hancock for making these arrangements and to Judy and CC for being here. The cams are clean and now ready for another season.

Jake is the one in the nest - when you get done looking around, please zoom to Max in South tree.

Cam looked good to me - anyone see anything?

Rope and biggest of wings tossed over.
Judy, I could not locate the south cam tree from the north cam. Took a quick tour but didn't see him. Need to figure that out before we do this again. :)

4:59pm........Thanks everyone! Great job that I usually don't miss but I see things were definitely in great hands today! Glad you were able to get this done while our eagles were away and the weather was dry! :bravo:

Thank you so much, Sandy, for agreeing to try to sort out our dozens of mostly useless presets - and one of them did focus on the South cam, and we may want to add that one back. Not critical today, and I think we did get to see him waving.

And I do apologize for bailing out at the end, but Charlie and I had planned to go out to dinner, and it's been a long time since we've done that, so knowing that the thread was in good hands, I prioritized that.

And - all involved, and those who check in later - what do we need to do next year to make this even smoother, knowing that we may yet again not have much advanced warning. Advanced warning is great, but the team in BC has a whole lot to do in a very short time, so that may not be an option.

No need to answer right away, but I would appreciate suggestions as we plan for next year - thanks!

6:43 am last night I went back to gather some s'caps of interest from the cam cleaning yesterday.
3:15 pm Jake up in the nest taking some pictures. Then after talking with one of our zoomers, he picked up what looks like a piece of rope and throws it away.

From the cam cleaning from yesterday, Jake wipes down the north cam dome and begins checking the nest. He finds an unusual bone fragment.

From the cam cleaning yesterday, Max is in the south cam tree and is wiping down the cam dome. He gives a wave.

From the cam maintenance yesterday, after the cam dome is cleaned and nest is checked, Jake heads down from the nest. Good job, Jake and Max, for getting our cams ready for a new season.

11:34 am logging into both cams. Will be checking for presets zoomers use to get around the area quickly. 12:09 pm logging off both cams. Nice afternoon with a bit of a breeze.

Thanks for doing that, Sandy - I was too tired when I got home last night, and didn't think of it when I was up briefly in the middle of the night - and by morning, all that was left was Max waving goodbye.

And thanks for zooming, and helping them find the spots that needed cleaning - we may have missed one or two, but wow - everything looks so much clearer now!
