6:45 am after more vocals, Rey flies to the right perch and Brit returns to the nest. Rey joins Brit in the nest. More chittering between them as they dig in the nest bowl.

6:46 am Rey flies from the nest with Brit staying. Note: Cannot log images. Brit flew at 6:20 Have tried a couple of times and getting a yellow arrow on the status. Hopefully they are still working on the forum issues. Have logged off both cams.

Note: Images seem to be working again, but the tech folks are still working on things, so there may be other things acting strangely still.

11:32 am
I think this is Rey who arrived on the nest with a large fish head.

And Brit who showed up a moment later to claim the gift he had brought her.

Both seem alert - there may be other eagles in the area.

Rey flew off at 11:36 am; Brit is standing protectively on her food and looking around.

Need to get back to another project but will try to keep an eye on her; I'm not on the cams, so if someone wants to zoom, that would be great.

She's started eating again at 11:39 am.

11:51 pm

Brit has finished her meal, and Rey is back with a stick (and maybe some thoughts about checking for leftovers - and I don't think there were any).

Rey went up to the little perch, and I was thinking of pulling the cam back a little when he flew off (at least I think it was him); he flew back across the nest a moment later. No s'cap because it was mostly a shadow and flash of wings both times.

I think this is Brit doing a bit of work on the nest and looking around.

12:08 pm in rollback, Brit sitting in the nest when Rey flies in with another stick.

12:08 pm in rollback, Brit is softly calling out and we see a mating. Can see how careful Rey is with holding his talons away from Brit as not to injure her.

12:09 pm in rollback, Brit picks up some trash and can see she has a very nice crop from the meal Rey brought in for her. Rey then flies.

I can't get on the cams at this moment as have some errands to take care of. Oh wanted to mention the forum posts are running smoothly.

Happy to hear that, Sandy!

12:37 pm
Rey just came back, I think with another little stick, and they mated again.
20230321_012.jpg

This was from the mating a little after noon - we are an educational forum, and this is one of the best examples I've seen of how the female holds her tail to the side so the two of them can get close enough for the sperm to be transferred.
20230321_011.jpg

With two matings so close together, I really think Brit may be getting close to producing an egg.

Rey is back with a monster stick. I think Brit may have been hoping for pickles and ice cream - but Rey is definitely trying to do everything he can to help. :%:

Rey continues to work on his stick; Brit is standing on the side of the nest, giving occasional little calls.

20230321_018.jpg

12:48 pm
Rey flies off. And is back a moment later with a little stick. Probably I'm humanizing, but it looks to me as if he's trying so hard to make everything just right!

This is him standing near the nest cup, while she stays out of the way on the edge.

12:52 pm
Rey flies off. And Brit flies off a moment later. It's not unusual for a female to do a bit of a fly around shortly before laying an egg. It's also not unusual for them to fool us. Time will tell.

I just checked back quickly to my last post, and didn't see any activity on the nest.

Maybe tonight?

1923 - I'm in on the south cam.

2021 - I am off the cams!

Both Eagles were on the nest for a bit tonight

Brit looked very lovely.

2023 - One of them was perched nearby at the time of this writing.
