Happily about once a lifetime - and we fortunately don't have the kind of wind I'm seeing on the Surrey and Delta nests.

7:24 am SF and SM have landed in the nest. Logging into the south cam.

Good morning, everyone, and :bye 1: nightowl!
20230204_002.jpg

I just noticed the eagles had arrived - had the sound down so low because of the wind yesterday that I didn't hear them land.

Glad you're here, Sandy - busy with something else at the moment. I do like it when they do the same thing.

7:24 am SM comes to the nest with a small branch, I think. SF lands in the nest and they begin working with sticks.

7:27 am SM is up on the upper branch. The wind is still quite breezy today. SF continues to dig in the nest bowl.

7:30 am can see the two faded feathers on SM's chest. SM rouses his feathers.

7:30 am SM flies off from the upper branch. SF follows him as they begin their day after a nest check.

Thanks, Sandy!

1:07 pm
Adult just arrived on the nest; looked as if she(?) was carrying something - maybe some straw or other material.

1:09 pm
Second adult (back/left) arrived to help arrange it.

Still thinking SF arrived first, then SM.

SM(?) up to little perch, then up higher.
20230204_007.jpg

He went up out of sight a minute later; SF is still doing some rearranging.

1:12 pm
Saw an adult fly behind the nest, and then the one I think is SM flew in with a stick; the new arrival is on the left.

Now back up to the perch and beyond.

I'm not in the camera if you'd like to zoom, Sandy.

He took off and flew to the branch that's hanging down behind the cam, almost as if he planned to try to perch there....
20230204_010.jpg

...but sort of ended up dangling a bit....
20230204_011.jpg

...before dropping down and flying off, with the branch swinging.
20230204_012.jpg

He did fly in with a branch, but I don't know if he managed to break it off there, or if he found one that was easier to take. I think he also brought in a second branch while I was getting the s'caps off the dvr.

SM is perched on the slanted branch above the nest, possibly keeping his eye out for any promising sticks passing by.
20230204_013.jpg

SF is doing some additional work on the nest rails.
20230204_014.jpg

1:30 pm
Took a quick look back on the dvr and didn't seen any visits between the one this morning and this one, though I could easily have missed a quick in and out by one of them.

SM is still keeping watch from his perch while SF does a bit of work on the nest.

I'm away from the computer for a while.

Added -
SM disappeared from view at about 1:34 pm - not sure if he flew off or just moved higher up in the tree. While SF was flying off away from the tree (wing visible in center circle in the s'cap below) I saw someone with a white tail coming from the right (I think higher up) and disappearing off to the left (tail in circle in the upper left). I suspect it was SM, and he'd been perched up higher - but don't know for sure.

Adult just landed on the nest.
20230204_017.jpg

Looked around a bit, then went out to the right/east perch.

The adult came back to the nest and flew off a minute or two later.
